I told you, my friends that I would give you a report on my creatine/GKG-enhanced progress. As i've written back in mid-june, i've been having the 'weight problem' all of my life. now, i can honestly say, that i'm over it and things are working out for me. i am now in recovery...
seriously, i've been taking creatine since mid-June. if you don't remember, the problem that i was having was that my darn weight never made it to the 130lbs hump. in my opinion, if i couldn't gain weight in the off-season, then how the heck was i expected to lift heavier and get big, awesome muscles?
By the end of September, i must tell ya. i was happy as a lark, i weighed 135 lbs on average. yeah, some of it was fat and water but not a lot. 10 whole pounds!! yippee!! Compare my pix on the home page with this pix just taken on 15October1995. This is the 'fattest' I've even been and I'm actually pleased. Hopefully, I can maintain most of the mass when I start cutting next year.
At the end of September, I stopped taking it in order to give my system a rest. 14 days later, i started the loading dose (4 servings of 5g each a day for 7 days). now, i'm back to taking 2 servings a day.
Back in July, i wrote and told you how i wuz doin'. Here's my comparative report, ladies and gents.
bench press WUZ 4 reps of 135lbs. haven't increased the weights just increased the reps to 8.
squats WUZ 8 reps of 185lbs. now it's 6 reps of 205lbs.
lat pulldowns WUZ 8 reps of 120lbs. made a conscious decision not to go heavier here to minimize the risk of injury. but increased my seated cable rows from 60lbs to 100lbs.
thanx to linda for her burning, masochistic, quad workout, i've been really feeling my quads. i wait 3-days before doing hams.
after getting feedback from a few close workout buddies, i've been upping the intensity of my laterals in order to widen my shoulders. i was kinda lopsided in training my delts. i just loved to work the anteriors. now, i have to be fair to the lateral delts.
here's a great thread to start: If I continue to do protein powders, creatine and gkg, am I still considered a 'Natural' Bodybuilder? Come on with it folks! This should be a good one! :-)
p.s. I don't the lunges or front squats part of linda's program 'cuz i add lunges
at my pre-competition stage and i have a problem with balance and form with
front squats.
